OWEN is a 4 year old boy with a deep affinity for sea creatures. His love of the ocean developed after his first trip to the Aquarium when he was 2-1/2 years old. Since then we have read countless books & field guides (he prefers them over more age appropriate books), watched many documentaries (Jean Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Adventures was a favorite), and visited other Aquariums. We started drawing coral reefs, with Owen coloring or drawing coral and embellishing scenes with stickers. Then he started drawing whales, dolphins, and sharks. He continues to draw every day.

Owen is a very empathetic boy. He feels strongly about the harm done to the ocean and its creatures. For his 4th birthday he took donations (in place of gifts) with the proceeds going to Oregon chapter of . . .
