American
Cetacean Society. Protecting whales, dolphins,
porpoises, & their habitats through education,
conservation, & research since 1967.
Aquarius
Underwater Lab. Aquarius is an underwater ocean
laboratory located in the Florida Keys National Marine
Sanctuary. The laboratory is deployed three and half
miles offshore, at a depth of 60 feet, next to spectacular
coral reefs.
Jean-Michel
Cousteau. The eldest son of the late ocean explorer
Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel is President of Ocean
Futures Society, where he continues his life's work
of educating, especially the young people of the world,
to foster a conservation ethic for our water planet.
National
Marine Mammal Laboratory. Responsible for conducting
research on marine mammals important to the mission
of the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and
the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA), with particular attention to issues related
to marine mammals off the coasts of California, Oregon,
Washington and Alaska.
People
For Puget Sound. A citizens' group working to
protect and restore the health of Puget Sound and
the Northwest Straits through education and action.
Reef
Check Foundation. An international non-profit
organization dedicated to conservation of two ecosystems:
tropical coral reefs and California rocky reefs.
The
National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. A private,
non-profit, organization created to assist the federally
managed National Marine Sanctuary Program with education
and outreach programs designed to preserve, protect
and promote meaningful opportunities for public interaction
with the nation's marine sanctuaries.
The
Shark Foundation. Promotes the preservation of
Sharks in the United States of America and surrounding
regions.
The
Surfrider Foundation. A grassroots, non-profit,
environmental organization that works to protect our
oceans, waves, and beaches.
Marine
Artist Wyland. Painter, sculptor, and marine advocate.
Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society. Dedicated
to the conservation and welfare of all whales, dolphins
and porpoises. .
